Torah of Head and Heart
This brand new study group will meet once a month on Saturday afternoons in different people's homes, from about 4pm to 6pm -- late enough that it is not the whole day, early enough that it is not the whole evening.
We will explore how the heady work of Torah study finds its way to spiritual depth and action in the world. We'll share appetizers and, in winter when the sun sets early, we'll say havdalah together. Each discussion will start from a short text, which will be distributed beforehand for those who may wish to read and think about it ahead of the meeting.
First session: Nov 9, 2019 Topic: Gratitude. Text: The Modim prayer, the next-to-last blessing of the Amidah.
Please submit the form below, or contact Rabbi Helen Plotkin at helen@mekomtorah.org for more information, to RSVP, and to find out the location of the first session.
